According to Porbandar Boats Association president Hiralal Sayal, five fishing crafts registered and 27 fishermen were picked up by intruding men of the Pakistani agency while they were fishing in Indian waters. Of this, one boat and 14 men were let off later. The remaining have been taken to Karachi port, he added.

National Fishworkers Forum general secretary Manish Lodhari said the fishing boats Visheshvar, Amit Sagar, Sagar Raj, Jay Prasad and Rajlaxmi were intercepted along with their crew of 27 people.

However Rajlaxmi and 14 fishermen, largely the old and the very young, were returned while the remaining were taken away. The Indian boats and their captured crew have reached Karachi port in Pakistan on Monday night, he added.
