Four Indians have been arrested on charges of attempted murder in Birjung here.

The youth were arrested by the Birjung Police on Thursday on charges of attempted murder of a convicted Indian drug dealer serving sentence in Birjung jail, the Himalayan Times daily reported on Friday.

The accused have been identified as Bikram Pandey, Pradeep Kumar Shah, Uma Shankar Baitha and Ranabir Pandey of Rauxal.

They had planned to kill, another Indian, Sonelal Yadav while he was out of his cell.

"Bikram's brother was killed by Yadav and they had came to kill him", the paper said, adding a 9 mm pistol, one home made pistol, six rounds of bullets, a mobile set and 300 grams of white powder were seized from them.
