Four Iraqis were killed and 17 wounded in a car bomb attack on Friday in south Baghdad, according to an interior ministry official.

The remote control bomb exploded in the southern neighbourhood of al-Dura, known for its frequent attacks, and close to a Shiite mosque and a large market area.

The explosion came right after Friday prayers as the worshippers were streaming out of the mosque and heading for the marketplace.
