Meanwhile, the four BJYM activists arrested on Thursday were set free today after they furnished personal bonds. Apart from BJYM district chief Rahul Rajput, three others, including Rajkumar Dubey, Pankaj and Kamal, were arrested late on Thursday night. They were booked for obstructing public servant, assaulting government official and rioting, among other sections of the IPC. All of them were released on bail today.

Rahul Rajput had entered into an argument with traffic inspector Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi when Bhopal Municipal Corporation chairman Ramdayal Prajapati’s vehicle was not allowed to join Advani’s cavalcade. Raghuvanshi allegedly hit the BJYM leader with his wireless set.

Later, BJYM workers misbehaved with police officials and assaulted them besides breaking windowpanes of Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Verma’s jeep.

With the arrest of four other activists, the Gandhi Nagar police said that it was not looking for any other accused as the number of accused initially in the FIR had erroneously included two such activists who were trying to disengage the scuffling sides.
