Four members of a family, including three minors, were charred to death when their hut caught fire at a village in Bihar's Nalanda district on Sunday night, police said.

Jeera Devi (45) and her three children Satyendra (4), Nitu (6) and Sanju (8) were burnt alive at Ranipur village under Telhara police station.

Jeera Devi's brother-in-law Buddhan Manjhi received serious burn injuries and was shifted to Sadar hospital.
Police suspect that the mud and thatch hut caught fire after the burning earthen lamp kept inside got knocked down accidentally.
