The district administration’s action comes in the wake of the Indore Airport Director James Natal’s recommendation in this regard to the district Collector Vivek Aggarwal in December last year. On his recommendation, the district Collector today asked Tehsildar Manorama Koshti to seal the hangar where the four aircrafts of the Franklin Airways, a Mumbai-based company, have been lying idle since 1994.

“We have sealed the hangar to seize the four aircrafts of Franklin Airways against whom there is revenue recovery of Rs 29,81,054 plus interest at 18 percent that comes to around Rs 62 lakh. If they pay the dues within 30 days, they will be freed from recovery. Otherwise, the aircraft will be auctioned after duly advertising in newspapers”, said Tehsildar Manorama Koshti who was incharge of entire seizure proceedings at the Airport today.
