Additional Sessions Judge DT Soni gave the four -- Fakruddin alias Fakru Kamruddin, Mohmmad Zahir, Zakir Hussian and Mohmmad Afsal Sheikh -- life sentences.

The court acquitted two others after eyewitnesses failed to identify them.

A mob had killed Devendra Solanki on April 12, 2002 in the post-Godhra communal carnage.
