Linen seems to be the fabric of today with simple straight cuts in white that’s just right for this season. That’s the reason why Freelook a 21-year-ld brand decided to make linen a part of its summer 2004 range.
“Our cuts have always been to the point to suit a cross-section of customers but we never compromise on the quality of the fabric,” says MD Freelook Avinash Goyal. And the linen range was priced affordably between Rs 1,399-1,799 were a sellout. Freelook that offers a wide range of affordable wear for men, women and children subscribes to the philosophy of dressing the urban fashion conscious without going over the top. “It’s a move to look at fashion beyond the basics yet going by popular taste.
This year in women’s wear mid waist capris, cargos and simple shirts have done very well. Besides these prints and striped skirts with a touch of white as the base colour, but pink emerged as another hot favourite this year,” says Goyal.
In men’s wear diagonal stripes, drawstring trousers, and soothing hues of light blue, beige were flying off the shelves. “Subtle stripes but not solid white was well accepted by our customers,” says Goyal. Freelook that has seven exclusive stores (including Basant Lok and South Extension Part I), the brand symbolizes look good and feel good. Though Goyal remembers that when they were thinking of a name Free and Look seemed just perfect and was in sync with their design philosophy. “Even if you look at our fits they are guaranteed to make you look slimmer but without forgetting the comfort factor. Our garments reflect the freedom of mind and your personality,” concludes Goyal.
