Sir David Frost is now immortalised by Ron Howard in the powerful movie — Frost/ Nixon. Frost is in Delhi for shooting some shows for Al Jazeera International’s new series — Frost Over The World. Just before flying to Delhi, he interviewed Amitabh Bachchan in London.
“He is nice, intelligent and what an influence he has on women. My research assistant and make-up artist, both ladies were in awe of him,” said Frost. He has also interviewed politicians like Pranab Mukherjee, LK Advani, Prakash Karat and his team is working on the dates to have Rahul Gandhi.
About his most memorable chats with Indians, he said, “It has to be Indira Gandhi whom I spoke to in 1970. I have also interviewed Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar — the two finest cricketers.”
Fiction feel
When asked how it was for his sons to see the biographical film, Frost/ Nixon, he said they loved it. Didn’t they ask about the lady he met in the plane in the movie? “Actually I met her in Monte Carlo. Ron Howard added a dash of fiction in the movie,” he smiled.
