SEVERAL RELIGIOUS programmes were organised here at various Gurudwaras in Varanasi on Friday to celebrate the Prakashotsav of Guru Gobind Singh on his 340th birth anniversary.
Special kirtan was organised at the Nichibagh Gurudwara from 3 am on Friday. The process of taking out Prabhat pheris from four different directions concluded today.
Prabhat pheris were taken out from Gurubagh, Ashok Nagar, Cotton Mill and Rajghat. All the four Prabhatpheris concluded at the Nichibagh Gurudwara. A Special function is also scheduled for Friday night.
Functions were also organised at Gurubagh Gurudwara. Four different Jathas from Punjab rendered Nam Suniran, Jashgan of Guru Gobind Singh, Shabd path etc. from 8.30 pm to 1.30 noon. This was followed by a langar. Manager of the Gurudwara Management Committee of Gurubagh Gurudwara, Satnam Singh, said that a large number of devotees participated in the function.
