Functions to mark Guru Purnima

SEVERAL FUNCTIONS will be organised to celebrate Guru Purnima here on Tuesday . The management of temples, mutts and ashrams are busy sprucing up their respective premises for the festival. Three big functions will be organised at Kinaram Ashram, Garwa Ghat Ashram and the Parav-based Awdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushth Sewa Ashram.

The management of temples, mutts and ashrams are busy sprucing up their respective premises for the festival. Three big functions will be organised at Kinaram Ashram, Garwa Ghat Ashram and the Parav-based Awdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushth Sewa Ashram.

A large number of devotees visit these places to get the blessings of their gurus. Aghoracharya Baba Keenaram Aghor Shodh and Sewa Sansthan will organise a function at Kinaram Ashram in Shivala area.

A number of makeshift shops of sweets, garlands and other puja items will be set up outside the ashram. Swings have been installed in Ravindrapuri Colony to give the occasion a carnival-like atmosphere.

A large number of devotees, including rural folk, are expected to reach Garwa Ghat Ashram in Ramna from distant places in Varanasi and its adjoining areas.

The Shri Sarweshwari Sansthan Devsthanam will organise several functions at Awdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushth Seva Ashram in Parav on Tuesday. Functions, including Sarweshwri Dhwajatolan and ‘Saphl Yoni’ recital will be organised. This will be followed by worship of the Guru. Discourses will be delivered in the evening.

The Shastriya Sangeet Vidyalya will organise a musical programme ‘Guitar Sandhya’ at its centre in Kedar Ghat area on Tuesday evening.
