The government would provide Rs 15 lakh per district per year for computer-aided learning as part of its Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan programme. Replying to questions, minister of state for human resource development MAA Fatmi, however, denied that the government has conducted a study on education in private and public schools, but admitted that a Delhi-based NGO has conducted a study on "public utility of private schools" and had suggested that private schools are not contributing enough to society.
