Industrial Design Centre (IDC) of IIT-Bombay has designed these games and Chennai-based toy and game manufacturer Funskool is producing and marketing them.

"We are delighted to launch the strategic games conceptualized by IIT-Bombay and are confident that these games would inculcate logical thinking among kids,” R. Jeswant, Funskool's general manager for sales and marketing, said in a press release here Wednesday.

Funskool is a joint venture between MRF and Hasbro of the US and has introduced strategic games like Chakra View, Triplets, Gotcha and Sixteen-fifteen in the market.

“These are mind-boggling games and require patience, focus, determination and great strategic planning. Today's kids need a dose of these strategic games to come out as real winners and these games give them a bit of brain exercise,” Jeswant explained.

These games were born out of an elective subject that was offered last year at IIT.
