With the arrest of two persons accused of gang-raping a minor dalit girl from Dabra village in the Hisar district, the police are trying to close in on the remaining 10 of the accused. Eight police teams from the district police are on the lookout for the 10 till at large.
Superintendent of Police (SP), Hisar, B Satheesh Balan told HT that one of the accused Situ revealed the names of other eleven accused involved in the gang-rape during interrogation. "We will reveal the name of the second accused after the identification parade," Balan said.
Meanwhile the district administration has announced to provide government. job to the son of the deceased father of the rape victim who committed suicide by consuming poison on September 18. The affected dalit family has also been given a financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakhs.
It may be recalled that on September 9, a dalit minor girl who is a 12th class student had left her house to meet her maternal uncle in Patel Nagar, Hisar. An upper caste youth Sonu offered her a lift and took her to a secluded place.

The agitated dalits did not allow postmortem for three days and sat on indefinite dharna at the mortuary. It was after the arrest of one accused Situ that the restive dalits allowed the cremation on September 22 morning.
