Ganguly wants Sehwag and Yuvraj to strike form before the crucial match against Pakistan on Sept 19.

The Indian team might have regained its momentum with an easy victory over Kenya in their ICC Champions Trophy opener, but captain Sourav Ganguly wants batsmen Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh to strike form before the crucial match against Pakistan.

"Four of us - (VSS) Laxman, (Mohd) Kaif, (Rahul) Dravid and me - are hitting the ball well and I am sure before long Viru (Sehwag) and Yuvraj too would recover their form," Ganguly said after his side thrashed Kenya by 98 runs at Rose Bowl on Saturday.

Sehwag was out for 17 and Yuvraj departed on nine against the minnows Kenya but Ganguly hoped the practice game against ECB Eleven at Morseley cricket club in Birmingham next Thursday would hopefully bring them back among runs.

"It's just a matter of time and I am pretty sure they would be among runs in the practice game which would put them in the right frame of mind against Pakistan.

"They are important players for when they score runs, they win you games because at the rate at which they get their runs."
