The former Indian skipper, ousted from the Test squad and facing a bleak future, has accepted an invitation to watch the match at Mohali, Punjab Cricket Association President IS Bindra said on Monday.

"As a former captain, we have invited him to watch the India-England match and he has already given his confirmation," he told reporters.

Sourav said he will be coming to watch the Test after March 11, because that day he has his involvement in Jaipur.

He said former captains MAK Pataudi and Kapil Dev had also confirmed that they would be coming to watch the Test.

Bindra said BCCI President Sharad Pawar will inaugurate an indoor cricket net facility on March 8 at a function, which will also be attended by Punjab Governor SF Rodrigues.

PCA would give honorary membership to Rodrigues and Pawar and both had agreed to it.

Bindra also said BCCI had selected Mohali as one of the venues for the Champions Trophy matches slated to be held in October this year.

He said the organising committee of the second Test had met under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Secretary KR Lakhanpal and reviewed all arrangements.
