The BGPMUS convener Abdul Jabbar said that both the Union and the State governments should immediately take steps to control the rising prices of essential commodities before they become too costly for the common man to afford.

He further said that the Congress had projected itself as a party of poor to dislodge the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Government but hopes of poor people for a better living under Congress-led Union Government has been completely belied.

He further accused the district administration at Bhopal to have deleted hundreds of names of eligible persons from BPL list and said a list of 2000 such persons had been given to administration earlier and another list of approximately 3000 persons was handed over to district administration officials today.
