Gayan Wijekoon is an incredibly talented all-rounder, who has been very sucessful for Sri Lanka A team.

Athough he has a credible first class career, the selectors often opted for others with lesser performances ahead of Wijekoon. He made his debut on July 13, 2005 against West Indies in the first test and is considered the next generation of Sri Lankan team.
