Geet finds rhythm on second day

AFTER A mixed day on Friday, ace cueist Geet Sethi today came into his own and won all the matches he played in the National Billiards and Snooker Tournament being organised by the MP Sports and Youth Welfare Department at BHEL Senior Club. However, Pankaj Advani went down to Ashok Shandilya.

AFTER A mixed day on Friday, ace cueist Geet Sethi today came into his own and won all the matches he played in the National Billiards and Snooker Tournament being organised by the MP Sports and Youth Welfare Department at BHEL Senior Club. However, Pankaj Advani went down to Ashok Shandilya.

Playing his match of the day, Geet Sethi defeated Shyam Jagtiyani in straight frames 3-0. Jagtiyani struggled against the champion in the entire match. On the other hand, Sethi was determined to register his second win of the tournament. Winning the first frame 102-40, Geet put pressure on Jagtiyani.

The story was same in the second frame, as the world champion won the frame 101-32. Jagtiyani tried to bounce back but failed to save the match. He lost the last frame 71-100. In his second match, Jagtiyani defeated Rupesh Shah 3-2. He won the match 100-02, 56-100, 104-18, 56-100 and 103-46.

After a one-sided victory over Jagtiyani in the first match, Geet faced a fight from Devendra Joshi. After winning two frames in a row, he lost the next two without opening his account 0-101 and 0-100. However, Geet took the revenge in the last frame and registered a 100-0 win.

Shandilya maintained his winning ways on the second day. He defeated Pankaj Advani 3-1. he won the match 100-45, 100-46, 25-100 and 100-02.
