Yadav was addressing a gathering of schoolchildren and NCC cadets at the arms and ammunitions exhibition jointly organised by the IMC and Akhil Bhartiya Sena Parishad at Gandhi Hall.

The exhibition was held to commemorate Vijay Diwas, India’s victory over Pakistan in the ’71 war, which led to the birth of Bangladesh.

Lt Gen Satyavir, who was the chief guest, heaped praise on IMC for organising the exhibition. He also had a word of advice for the large number of children who had come to see the exhibition.

“You are the nation’s future. But unless you are educated and disciplined, you cannot be a stakeholder in the country’s development.

Later, Yadav distributed cash prizes ranging from Rs 2001 to Rs 251 to the winners of debate, patriotic song and painting competitions organised as part of the Vijay Diwas celebrations.
