The half-a-dozen students, part of a study group that is currently here, were exhilarated after their Hammam experience and delighted at the treatment they received at the place.

For some of the visitors, it was their first ever visit to a Hammam while some had been to other Hammams in different countries earlier too.

The students went to the Hammam a few days ago, after they had spent almost a month working on their projects here. The dirt and dust, which is comparatively more here than back in Germany, appeared to have taken its toll and the students were in urgent need of some reinvigoration.

“We were advised to pay a visit to the Hammam for getting revitalised for the remaining days of our stay in Bhopal,” one of the students, Stefanie Mauksch, told the Hindustan Times. “We felt really clean and reenergised after the visit to the Hammam,” said another student, Boris Wille.

“I would definitely go there again if there is time,” Sascha added. Three more students, Isabella Voigt, Anja Huemmer and Katrin Specht, also visited the Hammam and were all praises for it. They were very impressed by the fact that the Hammam has been run as a family business for more than a 100 years.

The students, however, felt the place would have been much better with more hygienic conditions and cleanliness. “The Hammam can be much more attractive with just a little improvement in the sanitation of the place,” said Stefanie. Boris was also little irked that some of the masseurs at the Hammam were slightly heavy-handed.

Nevertheless, most of the German students who visited the Hammam were satisfied with the experience and clearly much more revivified and refreshed than earlier.
