A 30-year-old man was allegedly fired upon and assaulted by several armed men in Nehru Nagar area of Ghaziabad on Friday afternoon.

A 30-year-old man was allegedly fired upon and assaulted by several armed men in Nehru Nagar area of Ghaziabad on Friday afternoon.

Sachin Yadav, a builder and resident of Lal Kuan area, had gone to his friend Rahul’s house when several armed men allegedly resorted to indiscriminate firing. Yadav was injured in the incident.

“My in-laws are behind the incident. I married their daughter against their wishes. They are also eying some land that I own,” Yadav alleged.

But the police have questioned the authenticity of the claim as none of the bullets hit Yadav.

The SSP said the police were verifying the claims.
