?Ghera dalo? by ABKMS

ALL INDIA Khet Madzoor Sabha (ABKMS), CPI (ML) and Inqalabi Nawjawan Sabha (INS) staged day-long demonstration ‘Ghera dalo dera dalo’ at the district headquarters here on Tuesday.

ABKMS state vice-president Radhey Shyam Yadav said that a meeting was held on the occasion which was conducted by INS district secretary Alok Srivastva and addressed by the leaders of ABKMS, CPI(ML), INS, ACTU, and AISA.

The members demanded implementation of employment guarantee law in Allahabad, legal rights for tribes, job cards to all labours, distribution of ration and kerosene through BPL cards, waiving off farmers’ loans up to Rs 20,000 and allotment of land to the poor and landless farmers.

Addressing the members, CPI(ML) district secretary Radhey Shyam Maurya said the employment guarantee law was framed by the government due to regular protests by farmers and workers, but the law had yet not been implemented in Allahabad.

“We will continue our struggle to get minimum 200 days of work at the rate of Rs 100 per day according to the employment guarantee law”, Maurya said and
exhorted the authorities to release the land from illegal holders in the rural areas of Bara and provide the same to the poor and landless farmers of the area.

INS president Om Prakash Pal and ABKMS district secretary Hansraj Kol demanded check on malpractices by officials in development schemes of the district.

They urged the youths and farmers to support the protest to curb the malpractices.

CPI(ML) city secretary Kranti Shukla demanded employment guarantee for urban youths and proper medical facilities and cleaning of the slums.

ACTU State vice president Anil Verma, AISA state president Ramayan Ram, INS joint secretary Shyam Sunder Sharma, and Safai Mazdoor Union president Munna Lal also expressed their views on the occasion.
