GIL to to buy four vessels
The GE Shipping arm will buy four anchor handling tug-cum-supply vessels from Labroy Shipbuilding and Engineering Pte Ltd.

Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd (GE Shipping) on Monday said its wholly owned subsidiary Greatship (India) Ltd will buy four anchor handling tug-cum-supply vessels (AHTSV) from Singapore-based Labroy Shipbuilding and Engineering Pte Ltd.
The four 80T AHTSV would join the company's fleet immediately on delivery from the yard during the first half of calender year 2009, GE Shipping informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
This brings the current order book of GIL, including the secondhand acquisitions to 10 offshore supply vessel (OSVs) — eight new buildings (2 platform supply vessels and six AHTSVs) and two secondhand modern platform supply vessels.
Shares of the company closed at Rs 291, up 0.48 per cent at the BSE.
