A FIVE-DAY workshop for small-scale drug manufacturers was organised by Union Health Ministry at Sayaji Hotel under capacity-building project.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Drugs Controller (north zone) Dr D Rai said that good manufacturing practices (GMP) had been implemented to improve product quality of pharmaceutical industry. He said GMP was introduced in 1996 in a revised format and the industries were given ample time to implement it.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr Rai and Kapil Bhargav of Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), P N Tantuvay of State Drugs Licensing Authority, MP Small-Scale Drug Manufacturers’ Association (MPSDMA) president Rajendra Sharma and secretary Himanshu Shah.
Over 70 chemists from different pharmaceutical companies are taking part in the workshop.
