The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority office wore a deserted look and most senior officials remained conspicuous by their absence on Thursday.

"Brainstorming is being done at various levels. The city's master plan may have to undergo a major overhaul," said a source. The authority is working on two plans. "Farmers may be encouraged to sell land directly to builders. The authority may also go for a curative petition; promising more money to farmers," an official from Lucknow said.
