Rocky S is all set to rock LIFW with a gothic and mysterious collection, which is pretty casual and young at heart.

Tell us something about the collection that you are showcasing in LIFW 03.

My fall/winter collection for LIFW '03 is very gothic, very dark and largely mysterious. It is a pretty casual collection, which largely deals with all about jeans wear. The clothes are all about jeans, jackets, skirts and trousers, with the emphasis being on the look.

What innovation in style, fabric, silhouettes, colours or workmanship have you incorporated in this collection?

I've used a lot of linen, denim and stretch cotton. Embellishments are in the form of Swarovski on denim. I've also played a lot with surface texturing so as to give a very mysterious look. I've kept the colour palate in the tones of black, beige, pink and grey.

Where did you draw the inspiration for this collection?

Nowhere in particular. I love experimenting and innovating with fabric, colours and the look. That's why I've kept this collection pretty wearable, casual and young at heart.

What trends do you forecast for the season in terms of colours, silhouettes, fabric etc.?

I see a lot of fun clothing with a very dressed up look. A lot of jackets are going to be in vogue. I also see a lot of fake leather in black and beige.

Finally, what are your views on events like LIFW? Do such events fulfil designer aspirations and expectations?

Oh LIFW is the future of fashion in India. It has tremendous potential both for the buyers as well as for the designers. In another five years from now I see it emerging as another Milan Fashion Week!
