GO for shifting stray cattle stayed

A DIVISION Bench of the Allahabad High Court, while staying a GO for shifting stray cattle to Barbar Gau Sadan , Lakhimpur Kheri, has called upon the Nagar Nigam authorities, Lucknow, to disclose the infrastructure and the budget allocation for the maintenance of the cattle houses.

A DIVISION Bench of the Allahabad High Court, while staying a GO for shifting stray cattle to Barbar Gau Sadan , Lakhimpur Kheri, has called upon the Nagar Nigam authorities, Lucknow, to disclose the infrastructure and the budget allocation for the maintenance of the cattle houses.

The Bench comprising Justice DP Singh and Justice SN Shukla passed the above order on a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by advocate Archna Singh Tomar on the allegations that there was no proper supply of food , water and maintenance for the cattle kept at Gau Sadan, Lakhimpur, and though their condition was deteriorating day by day, more cattle had been ordered to be deported there. The Bench, while fixing June 16 for hearing further directed the district magistrate of Lakhimpur Kheri to report about the condition of the cattle kept at Gau Sadan.

Order for posting of civil judges issued: The order for posting of civil judges (junior division)was issued through a notification of the Allahabad High Court here on Tuesday. The appointments were made following an examination conducted by the UP Public Service Commission in 2003.

Plea turned down: The district and session judge Ravindra Bhaskar has stayed an order by which the Chief Judicial Magistrate had directed the police to register a criminal case against Nagar Ayukta (Municipal Commissioner), Allahabad, in connection with an assault case.
