Goa Film Festials rescheduled

The Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) has rescheduled the Marathi, Italian and Hungarian film festivals in Goa keeping with the Election Code in mind.

Apprehending election code of conduct violation, the Entertainment Society of Goa (ESG) has rescheduled the film festivals planned here.

The Goa Government-run body has deferred three film festivals - Marathi, Italian and Hungarian - which were slated to be held this month.

"The election code of conduct is in session and hence we have decided to reschedule these festivals," ESG's chief executive officer Manoj Srivastava told PTI.

The ESG, hosts for International Film Festival of India (IFFI), had chalked out smaller festivals throughout the year.
The body had held festivals like Best of IFFI (films from Indian Premiere), Cuban film festival and Best of IFFI (short films) in February this year.

The ESG calender, which was freezed till March month, had on cards Marathi film festival, a bouquet of 10 films, between March 5 to March 8.

Italian film festival, comprising six films was scheduled between March 13 to March 15 while Hungarian film festival of six films was to be held between March 27 to March 29.
