The Goa state government, in association with the Children's Film Society of India (CFSI), is all set to organise a state-level children's film festival in the state from January 9 to 14, 2006.

The festival will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pratapsingh Rane at Kala Academy and will also be attended by CFSI Chairperson Nafisa Ali, a release said.
Besides, there will be free screening for visually impaired children and inmates of remand homes.
A two-day film-making workshop will also be organised at the Kala Academy, it added.
"The festival is being organised for the benefit of the student community. Films would be screened in 14 theatres across the state in which students of primary, middle and secondary school would be invited to watch movies for a small fare of four rupees per seat", the release said.
