Three years ago, my daughter, 8, fell sick repeatedly around the month of October. She would catch viral and have high fever followed by body rashes, with medicines giving no relief. We suspected dengue which, at that time, was at its peak. I consulted one of my neighbours whose son had contracted dengue and he advised us to rush our child to hospital.

It was 9 pm, and we were tense and disturbed. My husband and I took her to a nearby hospital. Since the guards did not allow our car to be parked in or near the hospital gates, my husband told me to take the child to the doctor while he would park the car a little away. He told me to call him up as soon as the doctor had attended to her.

The doctor ruled out the possibility of dengue but still took blood sample for a double check. I came out of the ward and took out my mobile to call my husband. But its battery was completely down. There was no way in which I could contact my husband. With the sick child in my arms, I was in tears. I was scared of asking anybody for help as it was very late in the night.

What would anybody call this? For me, it was my God who had appeared when I needed Him the most.
