Four wagons of a goods train derailed near Dadri area in Noida on Saturday, disrupting rail traffic on the Delhi-Howrah route for few hours, railway police officials said.

The mishap took place as the driver applied emergency brake, a railway police official said, adding that the rail track also got damaged.

The train was later shifted to an alternate track, official sources said. An inquiry is being conducted into the matter, they added.
