Goods worth lakhs gutted at flour mill

A DEVASTATING fire broke out in a flour mill on Nemawar Road last night in which flour and other goods worth lakhs of rupees kept at the mill were destroyed.

A DEVASTATING fire broke out in a flour mill on Nemawar Road last night in which flour and other goods worth lakhs of rupees kept at the mill were destroyed.

It took the fire brigade personnel around seven hours to douse the flames and they used up 15 tankers of water. The fire started due to a short circuit at the Vaibhav Foods Atta plant, situated near Ganesh Tol Kanta on Nemawar Road, a little after midnight.

First, some gunnysacks caught fire and soon it spread all over the plant causing the damage.

Thieves nabbed
MANGLIA POLICE arrested four persons and during interrogation they confessed their involvement in a number of thefts and loot at a petrol pump.

The arrests were made near Sulakheri bypass and the arrested persons are Radheyshyam son of Babulal Mukati, Jagdish son of Pratap Bhil and Munnalal son of Sawant Chaudhary all from Sagaur in Dhar district and Dilipsingh son of Ganpat Keer of Bijjukheri. Meanwhile Santosh son of Govardhan Bhil managed to give police the slip.

During questioning, they accepted their involvement in two thefts in houses at Manglia area and looting a petrol pump in Kshipra.

They are also involved in thefts and loots in other parts of the State also
