The initiative is a chance for consumers across the US to get up close and personal with the wearable technology device and see what the fuss is all about.
In a post on the Google Glass Google+ page, the company said that the roadtrip is also a chance for people to quiz Google's technical team about the gadget and to learn more about the technology surrounding it.
And, as well as hands-on, or should that be face-on, time with the headset, the company also promises local snacks and local beverages to anyone that comes down to one of the pre-arranged meeting points.
So far, the only confirmed stop on the trip is Bay 7, American Tobacco Campus, Durham City, North Carolina , where people who RSVP can come down and try the headset on for size on October 5.
Google says that it will be announcing further stops in due course and to keep following the Google Glass Google+ feed for more details.
