"The UPA government is faltering...It is backtracking again on the Saeed issue," BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said at a press conference in Mumbai.

"If the mention of Balochistan in the Indo-Pak joint statement was a blunder, National Security Advisor Narayanan's statement that action against Saeed is not a litmus test of dialogue with Pakistan is a disaster," Javadekar said.

India submitted a complete dossier on 26/11 with enough proof to Pakistan and it rightly mentions Saeed as mastermind of the 26/11 terror attacks, he added.

"Pakistan always treated the dossier with contempt. It has allowed Saeed to go scot free because of his close links with ISI," he said.

"BJP denounces Narayanan's revelation about Saeed as a disaster and wants to ask the government if action against Saeed is not a litmus test, then what it is," he said.
