In a statement on Friday, MPCC spokesperson Manak Agrawal alleged that the government machinery was trying to hide facts. He said it was ironical that while Joshi had himself complained to the DGP about an inquiry into the CD case, the State police had not registered a case till date.

The arrival of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Bhopal on Wednesday night, leaving the BJP’s Mumbai convention and his secret meeting with the DGP on the issue, proved the sensitivity of the case. The CM during meeting with the DGP was learnt to have passed on certain instructions and left for Mumbai the same night, he alleged.

It was surprising that the police were not interrogating Joshi, who was learnt have admitted that the CD was filmed in Bhopal, to unearth the facts.
