STATE GOVERNMENT today said a proposal to integrate separate cadres of ayurvedic and homeopathic doctors was under consideration and the matter had been referred to the finance department for approval. Once, it was done the two cadres would be integrated.
Replying to debate on a call attention motion over the issue, Minister for Medical Education Ajay Vishnoi said the M adhya Pradesh High Court had directed the State Government to decide on the issue in six months.
He said three months had elapsed since the decision of the High Court and there was broad agreement that cadre of assistant ayurvedic officers and assistant homeopathic officers and ayurvedic officer and homeopathic officers should be integrated but the matter had been referred to the Finance Department to examine the financial ramifications of the decision.
