The State Government has sought tehsil-wise information of rainfall and dry days between June 15 and September 30 besides data on availability of drinking water in rural areas and fodder for animals.

According to an official release, district Collectors have been asked to send figures of anawari in Kharif year 2006, budget available under departmental heads for starting job-intensive works in case of need, estimated number of average man days of work to be created per week from the departmental budget and the requirement of funds for employment oriented works till June 2007.

Moreover, in case there is no possibility of the entire tehsil being considered drought affected, information about 20 or more villages along with their maps should be sent giving the reasons of likely drought.
