Govt should spell out foreign policies: Joshi

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Thursday asked the new UPA government to spell out its policies to safeguard the country's boundaries in the wake of prevalent situations in neighbouring countries.

Senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi on Thursday asked the new UPA government to spell out its policies to safeguard the country's boundaries in the wake of prevalent situations in neighbouring countries.

He said the government should be ready with its mechanism to deal with the happenings in the countries like Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as it ultimately affects India.

"The happenings will certainly have its bearing on our country...The government should explain how it would tackle with Pakistan on the Taliban issue which might affect the country," Joshi told reporters in Patna.

Not satisfied with the statements being made by Central government for reviving economy, Joshi said that these statements were not enough to instill confidence among the political parties and the people.

More than one crore jobs had been lost in the last year of UPA's previous regime and the government still does not have policies on how to create more jobs.
