?Govt to resolve employees demands?

THE MUCH-AWAITED meeting of the State Level Advisory Committee of employees was held today at Mantralaya. The meeting was held after a gap of nearly three years.

Due to inordinate delay in conducting the meeting resentment had started brewing among the employees fraternity, but Chief Secretary Rakesh Sahni handled employee leaders tactfully and managed to give them the message that the State Government is very sensitive towards employee’s woes.

During the meeting Chief Secretary also directed all senior officers to hold meetings of their respective departments regularly so that grievances of employees could be resolved at departmental level.

He said that employee leaders could meet him at regular intervals and concrete efforts would be made to solve the genuine demands of employees. Sahni also informed employee leaders that administrative approval had already been given to the recommendations of Brahamswaroop Committee and they would be implemented soon after taking Cabinet’s approval.

Giving assurance on other long pending demands of employees, the Chief Secretary said that the State Government would act promptly in giving appointment on compassionate grounds.

When some employees of forest raised the issue of unavailability of guns for those who are protecting forest, the Chief Secretary assured that funds would be given for purchase of equipments. He further said that employees and officials would be held responsible for illegal felling of forests.

Leaders of MP Class III Government Employees Association, M P Rajya Karmachari Sangh, MP Health Employees Association, MP Laghu Vetan Karmachari Sangh, MP Karmachari Congress, MP Gazetted Officers Association, MP Diploma Engineers Association, MP Forest Employees Association, MP Mantralaya Employees Associations etc. along with Principal Secretary and Secretaries of all departments were present during the meeting.
