An army man belonging to Army Medical Corpse was shot dead by his beloved's ninety-year-old grandfather over a dispute regarding his love affair and marriage according to Gomtinagar Police here.
The story goes thus: The army man Krishna Kant Yadav posted in Pune fell in love with Sarvesh Kumari, resident of Gomtinagar. They got married in a temple and later entered into a court marriage on September 15. After living with her husband for several months, Sarvesh Kumari recently came to her parents' house.
But, little did she know that her parents and grandparents were still holding grudges against her. She came alone and as soon as she entered the house, her ninety-year-old grandfather whipped her hard with a belt.
After the incident, when Krishna Kant Yadav reached the home of his in-laws, he got into verbal duel with them. RC Yadav, the father of the girl, also an army man, accused KK Yadav of eloping with his daughter and bashed him.
Ninety-year-old Ram Swaroop Yadav, the grand father of the girl, in a fit of rage, pounced upon the 26-year-old Krishna Kant. The old man slapped, boxed and threw the young man on the ground several times leaving the latter stunned. Later, the old man took out SBBL gun and shot Krishna Kant Yadav at point blank range puncturing his ribcage and heart.

{{/usCountry}}According to Gomtinagar police here, Sarvesh Kumari's family alleged that Krishna Kant had hurled abuses even on ladies of the family and elders despite the fact that they wanted to hold a proper Court marriage. The old man therefore lost his temper and beat up Krishna Kant and later murdered him.
