The newspaper industry depends on the destruction of trees for their primary raw material — paper, or newsprint.

But at HT, 95 per cent of the 1.5 lakh tonnes of newsprint we used last year was recycled. Every tonne of paper recycled saves about 17 trees, so every year that’s about 24 lakh trees spared — just by HT’s eco-friendly newsprint order.
