The quality of cricketers Jamaica produces these days notwithstanding, this place has an array of stalwarts from the past. One of them called Jeff Dujon is a TV commentator now and has an opinion on quite a few things.
To begin with, the wicketkeeper to have played 81 Tests and 169 ODIs says birds of his feather have to have an inclination for the job.
"You should be able to feel the ball, be able to control it. Having some extra padding on the gloves doesn't help."
Refusing to speak on certain issues because of professional commitments, this member of the invincible West Indies team rates Mahendra Singh Dhoni reasonably highly. "For this (one-day) type of cricket, he is very competent. He has what it takes to become an all rounder."
The player with five Test centuries and 16 half-centuries - most of which came at times when the team was in trouble - thinks India has a decent chance to do well at the World Cup next year.
"Their chances are good. They have been having good results of late, particularly while chasing. And Greg Chappell has got the team to play to a system."

{{/usCountry}}Asked about his memories of playing against Indians, Dujon was candid in his admission of who his friends are. "I have spent a lot of time with Mohinder Amarnath and Anshuman Gaekwad. I enjoy their company and we are friends to this day."
