Grenade found near Jammu railway station

A live HE-36 grenade was recovered from the railway colony in Jammu.

A major tragedy was averted with the timely recovery of a live grenade near the Jammu railway station, police said on Friday.

A live HE-36 grenade was recovered from the railway colony in Jammu on Thursday evening, they said, adding the grenade was found wrapped in a sleeping bag which was lying abandoned near the railway station.

The grenade was defused and investigation is on, they added.
