Groom spurned

Once again a bride has found the courage to turn away her groom because of dowry. Everything went fine till the time of vida, when the groom demanded Rs 1 lakh more. The bride objected and the groom's family ended up in the police lockup, reports Vasistha Bhardwaj.

Once again a bride has found the courage to turn away her groom because he wanted dowry.

Shiv Charan, a local resident, had arranged his daughter Anuradha's marriage with Ravi, son of Sukhbir of Delhi.

Everything went fine on the marriage day, December 16, till the time of vida, when Ravi demanded Rs 1 lakh more, in addition to the dowry already given.

Anuradha objected to this and the groom's family ended up in the police lockup.
