A SENSATIONAL firing incident, in which two groups came face to face on a dispute over possession of a house in Bahadurganj locality under Kotwali police station this morning, forced shopkeepers to down their shutters.

The incident occurred when supporters of former corporator and Samajwadi Party leader Vijay Vaish and BSP leader Nand Kishore Gupta clashed with each other. Police arrested three persons from the spot. However, they were later released on bail.
The house in dispute is owned by the KP Trust. However, both Vaish
and Nandi had been claiming their rights over the same.
Sources said, following an agreement president of KP Trust Vaish had put his lock in this house. On his part Nandi is reported to have come with some men who started breaking the lock.
Meanwhile, the other party reached the place. It was at this point when shots were fired. However, no one was injured.
Police rushed to the place and seized a rifle and a gun from two persons from the spot and took them to the police station.
