GRP cop found murdered

UNIDENTIFIED MISCREANTS killed a head constable of the Government Railway Police (GRP) on Monday night. His body was recovered on Tuesday morning near Baulia Railway Inter College in Shahpur. He was identified as Mohammad Latif, a resident of Siddharthnagar district.

Sources said that there was a dispute between Latif and his daughter’s ex-husband Aslam as Latif had filed a case against Aslam. Police suspected Aslam’s hand in the murder and said he could have hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Latif.

Sources said Latif was on duty on Monday night with GRP circle officer. He was going to his residence after depositing his arms at the GRP police lines when an unidentified miscreant stabbed him to death.
