Guj HC suspends three lower court judges, orders inquiry

The Gujarat High Court has suspended three lower court judges after preliminary inquiry conducted by the Registrar (Vigilance), revealed irregularities on their part.

The Gujarat High Court has suspended three lower court judges after preliminary inquiry conducted by the Registrar (Vigilance), revealed irregularities on their part.

Metropolitan magistrate, Ahmedabad, R G Chaudhary, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Banaskantha, K A Patel and Additional Civil Judge H S Mansuri of Bhuj in Kutch district, have been suspended by the Gujarat High Court with immediate effect, an official statement said in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

The HC Registrar (Vigilance) has also ordered a departmental inquiry against the judges following a primary investigation, it said. Sources in the High Court said that the primary investigation by the Registrar (vigilance) was conducted following many complaints against the judges. They will remain under suspension until further ordered by the High Court, they added.
