Tremors were experienced in Junagadh district of Saurashtra region in Gujarat early on Tuesday morning.

The quake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale rocked Junagadh at 0558 hours, the Met Department said.

The epicentre of the quake is recorded at a latitude of 21.2 degree North and a longitude of 70.5 degree East.
"No major damage has been reported from any part of the district but there were reports of a few mud sheds (built for cattle) falling apart. There were no human casualty," Junagadh district collector Ashwini Kumar told PTI.
However, people in Veraval town of the district, along with those living in Talala rushed out of their homes after they felt the tremors, causing panic in the area.
