Gurgaon Police will conduct more such trial runs before the Games. Traffic police said commuters will have to bear with the trouble.

"I have come from Delhi and am stuck in the jam for the past four hours. I have a patient with me but we don’t know when we will we reach the hospital," said Delhi-based Kishore Kumar.

"I have been travelling to Gurgaon for the past four years from Dwarka but this is the worst jam I have ever seen. From the Toll Plaza to Signature Tower, which is hardly a 10-minute drive, we took 90 minutes," Surendra Singh, an MNC employee, said.

When the trial started, traffic was stopped at Shankar Chowk and IFFCO Chowk and at the toll gate. Commuters were not allowed to enter Gurgaon. Every road leading to the lane used by Games delegates was closed and when it was opened, the situation went out of control.
